Wonderful. I hope he lives a long long long life, and never knows a moment of happiness or peace until the day he dies, alone and miserable, powerless and forgotten about, in his tiny cell.
I’m curious to see how the top women get sentenced, part of me believes they are victims but the other part of me, after watching the HBO series, feels like these women knew what they were doing to help him. I wish more people, especially men, who were part of this cult spoke out the clips I saw of their meetings were fascinating.
I watched The Vow too, and I imagine the reason so many of the men didn't speak out against what was going on (if they were aware of it) was that they were completely enthralled with the misogynistic rhetoric Raniere was spouting. Watching that footage of their all-male group, Society of Protectors or something like that, was CHILLING to me, especially when they brough the women in to "show them what it was like to be a man."
I watched the first ep of Seduced immediately after finishing The Vow’s disappointing (honestly, kind of enraging) finale episode & honestly it just made me even more upset at how The Vow handled the story.
Mark Vicente got the hero edit & Seduced just cut right through that bullshit. He’s complicit. “Nippy” is complicit. All those guys in SOP knew what the fuck they were doing & they benefited.
