One week after premiering the music video for "Make a Wish (Birthday Song)," one of two dual singles off part one of the new album NCT 2020 RESONANCE, NCT U has shared footage of the song's seven-member lineup practicing its choreography.

I still hate this concept and the MV. The song is good, I wish they hadn't made it appropriative AF in the visuals and stages. Ugh, SM sucks.

But omg SHOTARO did not come to play. He showed everyone up lol. He still has the light in his eyes tho, I give it a few months of being in the NCT dungeon and the energy will probably fade. He's so fun to watch, he's genuinely enjoying himself.

I feel bad for him + Sungchan, it must be so awkward to join a group 4 yrs in. NCT as a concept needs to die. Add the 2 newbies to 127, then split 127 into 2 groups and leave the 4 units as is, with U being rotational cb to cb. ENOUGH!!!

im not muslim but im brown and i felt even without considering religion, it was appropriative and noticeable upon first watch. I mean the backgrounds, the carpets, the outfits (fake turbans, clothing styles, tassels), the praying hand motions and head motions, the lamps, i dont really see how anyone can defend it. cultures arent aesthetics lol. but kpop stans will act brand new about their faves so. i like nct and was very disappointed, esp since xiaojun was in this mess

i've seen a lot of people use the 'arabian nights' defense, but like... isn't that all set within a particular cultural landscape? i do think that the prayer hands was more a nod to genies than religion, but as a white person i'm not in a position to weigh in and honestly i don't stan them hard enough to die on any hill within a 10-mile radius of it lol.
