It was pretty good, but I didn't love it, mostly because the main female character felt underdeveloped. I do think it's ripe for an adaptation, and I am really excited to see what Barry does with it.

I was just whelmed. It didn't help that I read it after Homegoing - WHICH is so beautiful and emotional, and most Whitehead books lack an emotional connection for me to truly love them.

Super curious to see what an adaption will be. Its such a great premise

I struggled with the logistics of it.
