I had a great time at my prom! My prom date was my best friend, who gave me a cute "promposal" by making me a cake, haha, and it was us just having a really nice night out with our group of friends. Can't complain on my partQ

No I didn't go to prom, I feel like I developed the depression that a lot of people start feeling in their 20's when I was 16 so most of high school was overwhelming sadness

I went to prom twice, once in grade 12 and once the next year when I went with my friends who graduated the next year. I didn't really enjoy either time. I'm really not someone who enjoys group rituals (I really only even had a wedding because my family wanted to come) so it was not my thing.
I just finished You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson, which is about a Black queer girl running for prom court so she can pay for university. It was super cute and touching.
