It was bizarre. Besides the gruesome story overall, there was the flat humor in Gabourey Sidibe‘s scenes, Jena Malone's scenery chewing inspired by Ivanka, and the long battle scene towards the end. Garbage.

How much does need to make to suffice it’s budget?

it needs to make at least $400 million worldwide to get its budget back, not to mention probably another $100 million to recoup advertising cost.

😬

Hmm I see cause I saw on wiki that’s it in the 300 million range but I heard the budget was HUGE.

Are you talking about Tenet? The budget was $205 million, and they spent far less on promo than they do on a normal Nolan release.

They usually fly around the world for red carpet premieres with the cast and they didn't do any of that. A few Zoom press conferences with Nolan and JDW and that was about the extent of it.

Has it paid itself back at least?

I remember reading somewhere a while back (I may be completely off) that a movie breaks even when it’s earnings are double its budget so in the case of Tenet it would need to be like 400 million for it to just not be a loss for the studio
