On her birthday Brie Larson vlogs trimming her own hair and cleaning out her closet (she donates to charities for formerly incarcerated women and homeless lgbtq teens). She talks about self-love, body image, having eating disorders and anxiety, and learning it's ok to use her voice and take up space.

It's just wholesome, relatable content.

I keep forgetting to ask this in Brie YouTube posts- does she do the standard youtuber thing where she asks people to like and subscribe and turn notifs on?

I don't think so, if I remember correctly she said in her very first video that she is not planning on doing that. I hope she sticks to that.

Nope! She doesn't really say it at the end of her videos. She said in the work out video to like it if you did and if you didn't to keep your comments to yourself, lolol

im really fucked up about turning 30
when i turn 29 imma celebrate my 30th so the pressure is off since im not really turning 30 and then imma skip my actual 30th birthday and do business as usual on the 31st

bbb 30 is no big deal. Think of it this way; your average light expectancy is probably 70+. You're not even 50% of the way through your life! You have such a long way to go. <3

what safaiagem said, it might feel like a big deal but it's not. Do not let other people make a big deal about it and get you worked up, you have a long way to go and time to do whatever you want.

I hated that I got older this year since it was such a waste of a year. But then again my life has been a waste so lol

30's >>>>>>>> 20's by a massive amount. I feel like everyone puts all of this pressure on yourself to have your shit sorted out by the time you're 30 and tbh I didn't even START sorting my shit out until I turned 30 and I'm still sorting it out four years later.

I think I will sort shit out in the next few years I didn't even know about in my 20s XD

I needed to read this today. I'm turning big three zero this month. I don't mind it and I don't want to celebrate it, but it does give me anxiety when I think about what other people suddenly expect of me when I reach that age. Social media definitely made me feel worse about myself seeing so many people I know getting married or having kids and here I am no kids, no husband and just focused on job stability and helping my career take off before I commit to all of that. I feel like I'm finally getting where I can say that I got my shit together, I'm just late to the party and I wish I would have accomplished these things earlier.

babe I said this above but statistically, you're going to live to be in your 70's. You're not even 50% of the way through your life. There is absolutely no rush to accomplish anything. You do what you need to do in your own time. <3

my 20s were fucking trash. my friend wrote "happy 30th!" in my birthday card two weeks ago and I thought it was hilarious (I turned 29 and he didn't even know lmao)
