Eddie Redmayne decided to throw his lot in with virulent transphobe JKR, telling Daily Fail:
- JKR was receiving alarming “vitriol” on social media and he called it “absolutely disgusting.”
- he sent her a personal note of support
- made sure to mention his "trans friends and colleagues" while saying all of this
- also says "those who harass transgender people on social media as “equally disgusting” as people who criticize Rowling" and “Similarly, there continues to be a hideous torrent of abuse towards trans people online and out in the world that is devastating” like they're in any way equal
