this is great, and really needed. i'd also like to acknowledge the undocumented workers putting food on our plates during this pandemic, who've been putting food on our plates for decades but are now going to be charged double or more if they even attempt to gain legal status in this country. makes me so mad.

and not just during the pandemic, during the pandemic with raging wildfires in california. must acknowledge and be thankful for them picking the fruit and veggies during the pandemic and during bad air quality. these california farms dont just feed california as we know like 1/4 of the food is exported globally too. it truly makes me sad and angry.

Not me personally but the two non profits I work for and a third I do contract work for have all gotten significant amounts of federal and state grant money. A friend of mine applied for a small grant through the program for independent contractors and the self employed and never heard anything.

this is really great. i work in public health and a lot of people are talking about health equity, etc but sadly not much is actually getting done. happy to see this.

Good. It’d be great if black and Latinos wouldn’t be reliant on rich people’s charity for having basic stuff but as long as the politicians some of those celebs support keep winning (hey Whoopi, wtf your hypocritical anti-left as is doing in this event?) that’s the best we can hope for.
