Beginning in 2024, for the 96th Oscars, a film submitting for best picture will need to meet the inclusion thresholds by meeting two of the four standards. Below, paraphrased:
A: Is your lead/30% of your cast/subject matter focused on an underrepresented group
B: Are at least 2 of the creative leadership positions held by members of an underrepresented group.
C: Are there paid training and apprenticeship oppertunities?
D: Are there underrepresented people on the publishing and marketing teams?
