I listened to Katy once and can't remember any songs. I don't remember hating any songs but I didn't love any either. Except for Harlies In Hawaii. That song is the shit!

Same. I wish more of her album took more of the direction of Harley’s in Hawaii. Though I have liked all her singles over the past year except for Small Talk but even though the album is okay I’m just ready for her to ditch her label cos they don’t know what they are doing with her.

I really liked Never Really Over,
and thought it was her nest chance at scoring a top ten, but at the same time I just had to look up what the name of the song was.

It's sad, I joined ONTD during the Katy Roar vs Gaga Applause era and Katy was THAT girl. Now she's just... there

lol i've heard a lot of people say he's good looking in person/motion. blondes aren't my type but he seems sweet/down to earth, taylor can (and has!) done worse.

congrats to Taylor. biggest female american artist this century--someone on twitter said she's the female drake and I agree. 15 years in the game and dominating, being compared to the new girls. I have this feeling she'll break the pattern for women in this industry and continue to have commercial success into her 40s.

I can't believe a Metallica live album outdebuted Katy. I thought her having her baby during album release week might give the project some buzz, but...

I think so too, honestly. She's shown an ability to evolve successfully that most of her peers haven't. I think she could definitely ride the 'folklore' style of music into her 40s if she wanted, for sure. Or she could go back to a more pop type sound. She's demonstrated that she can cross genres and still be successful.

I’m so interested to see how her career will go as she gets older.

Katy was never an album artist though, even teenage dream only sold like 100k first week.

I don't understand how Taylor always debuts with massive numbers, it's not the norm at all

Speaking of Taylor Swift, I just realised that “she said, James get in, let’s drive” from Betty and “Remember when I pulled up and said get in the car” from August are both at 2:47 in the song

i think the "standing at my front porch light" in cardigan and "betty i'm here on your doorstep" are also at the same timestamps. she likes to fuck with us!

If you listen to Cardigan, August and Betty back to back to back it’s crazy to see how they connect to each other. She def thought those three songs through.
