i haven't read this all yet, but as someone that throws on reaction videos as background noise at night when i don't feel like watching something i have to pay attention to, this is the first time i've seen a youtube scadal here about a youtuber i actually know

he always annoyed me, so this is somehow not surprising, but yikes all around

I do that too, like when I'm doing laundry. I've seen some of his Buffy, Glee, and HTGAWM videos but not a lot of each because he's also annoyed me and had wrong opinions about everything. Finding this out about him randomly is just the icing on the cake!

I watch some As/Is videos during breaks in the day. Everyone else has disappointed me.
Binging with Babish being so cavalier and taking the “my girlfriend and I had COVID in March and we are immune and we’re going wild!” approach.

I guess James/DeadMeat remains solid? He and his fiancée seem delightful and his Kill Count/What’s Your Favorite Scary Movie? series have been a damn delight to watch.

I used to watch his skam reaction videos bc at the time he was really one of the few reactors watching SKAM. It wasn’t long before, I stopped watching his video due to some weird comments he would make.

Plus, he sounds so much like Harry Kane that I really just couldn’t take it.

Did anyone miss the Irish try channel drama awhile back? One of their cast was a sex predator who had several women come forward. The channel backed them up and got rid of him.
He had stringy long hair and wore nail polish as part of his act.

That's what I think of too - like, did he react to popular teen dramas to GET the easy access to young girls? Or did the level of power he realized he had made him become more creepy, or at least made him think it was safe to be creepy around his "fans"?

I tend to think those types were already creeps on some level. The thing about the internet is it provides an easier? (more accessible? IDK, I can't find an adjective that feels right) attack vector than say, trying it on in clubs but at the same time, there tends to be a clear evidence trail when the creep does get exposed. A lot of real life creeping skates by on the 'I didn't mean it that way' and related defenses, but it's pretty hard to refute a pile of chat logs and screencaps. So I wouldn't be surprised if a large portion of these guys were known creeps (or at least that one weird friend) in their real life.

I think you're onto something about them being emboldened by the internet fame, but internet fame is pretty hard to achieve and strikes me as an awful lot of effort to do with the intention of preying on young girls, especially in an oversaturated area such as reaction channels, so I tend to think the creeping was already there.
