no Marvel movies for me either, except for I think the first two Iron Mans. they just aren't really my bag plus several of the primary actors annoy me (ScarJo, Hemsworth, and RDJ) so I haven't really felt much need to see them.

I watched The Wire years ago on its entirety and I never "got" it. I vastly preferred something like Six Feet Under (if we're talking HBO), flaws and all.

OMG I totally forgot about these men (which is a good thing). I've never seen a Woody Allen movie ever sadly though I've seen 2 Polanski movies(way before I knew about his past).

yeah i've never seen a woody allen movie but i watched the pianist, a polanski film, in high school without knowing who polanski was at the time and what he did.

I honestly find it supremely ironic that Polanski's most well known movies (Rosemary's Baby and Chinatown) are basically about the tragic fallout of men sexually abusing women and he sees nothing wrong with him raping teen girls.

This post is perfectly timed. I’ve never seen 2001: A Space Odyssey but it’s on HBO Max so I’m halfway through now (just took a water refill break). It’s pretty epic so far.

I was preparing to find it boring, but that opening and then HAL being sassy and everything after was alright to me

Yeah I'd kind of been putting off watching it too because I was worried about it being boring. All I knew going into it was that it was long and apparently slow? Either way I really enjoyed it, though I think you have to be in the right mood for it.

AND I LOVED SASSY HAL. The true hero of the movie.
