Directed by Francis Lee, who previously made the 2017 contemporary romantic drama God’s Own Country. Also briefly attracted controversy a while back when a British newspaper dug up some distant descendant of one of Anning’s relatives to complain about them fictionalizing a gay romance in her life.
Much as I want to detest referential puns, one of the YouTube comments calls it Portrait of a Lady Bird on Fire, which I must admit is funny.
