ownti he looks like a cuddly bear. How old is he? He also looks senior. The way Henry lives for this dog when he dies he will suffer a lot. I lost mine when she was 18 years old about to turn 19, it was devastating.
she was half stray so that counted a LOT I guess lol. My mom bought her (yes, I know but that was like 20 yrs ago. Nowadays we only adopt) with the premise she was a lhasa apso but she was HUGE for the breed, even bigger than male lhasas so I'm pretty sure she wasn't pure and we all know strays last a lot longer

I had a purebred Shih Tzu that I got when I was 6 and he lived to be 17. I'm honestly surprised he lived so long, but I think the reason why he lived a long life was because he was essentially an indoor dog. He went outdoors only to "do his business" and rarely interacted with other dogs. He never encountered a lot of stress, or rather, not a lot of things would phase him. He was very quiet and content with just sleeping nearby me instead of running around the house and making noise. He was very sweet to visitors and loved his belly rubs. I thought it was cute that he was so small that instead of bathing him in the bathtub, I bathed him in the laundry room sink. I recall the vet saying he was a little small for his age whilst ironically my BFF's Shih Tzu was huge for his age
