I'd somehow missed hearing about this one before now, but it's not surprising they're continuing to go with the "limited series adaptation of a popular book" formula. Don't know if the book is any good (not that it really matters - BLL the show was way better than the book), but the cast seems promising.

The book wasn’t great, but pretty entertaining. A super weird “twist”. I think it has the elements of being a fun show if they don’t get too serious with it.

I agree, the book is a real 'romp' but it's not very substantive. You will read it in a few days and sometimes be unable to put it down, and then it's done and pretty much forgotten besides the twist ending. I recommend it to people who struggle finish reading books, I was in a huge slump when I read it and still finished it so quickly.
