ok but can these assholes have these self reflective come to jesus moments when they actually have a chance to right their wrongs?

lady, people told you the WHOLE TIME this was a bad idea and you still collected your check and did it anyway.

this sort of hindsight rings so hollow.

Right? I can’t wait for all the whites to show up and ask if this is a “good” apology. It’s not and they can stay in their clown cars and scroll on by instead of being loud and wrong.

Nope, because that wasn't intentional! (Is there any way to see what one's own reaction history? I don't think I've ever *intentionally* reacted/upvoted/downvoted to anything but now I'm paranoid I've done it elsewhere and look like a damn fool there too like I do here.)

She really thought she could pull that off after doing blueface and greenface. Sis got carried away.

wasn't nina's family also vocally upset at this casting at the time?

yes!! like...every step of the way people were like, "no seriously please do not take this role".

...and she did it anyway.

if she were actually sorry, she'd acknowledge all the people who told her AT THE TIME why she shouldn't do it and that she still did knowing full well she out of line. take some real accountability!

Tbh this is why her apology is absolute bs. If she had any respect for Nina, her legacy or her family, she would have backed out.

. @zoesaldana Cool story but please take Nina's name out your mouth. For the rest of your life.

Okay, but tell on COLORISM with your full chest. Don’t say Nina’s Black, I’m Black, we’re all Black so I thought it was okay. The specificity of her life is about how her color affected her experience in the world as a dark-skin Black woman. These celebrities are incapable of being fully honest and actually contrite.

For real, I kept expecting the word colorism to pop up but nope

Ten years ago? Ten? She should have just sat down and ate her food, as I'm doing right now.
