I think the reveal that the ISA wanted like... objectively good things was well done. But it felt a little cheap that they were able to avoid reckoning with if the ends justify the means. Is it ok to fuck with people's minds in order to end racism and discrimination and to ensure that everyone has healthcare? Luckily the JSA can side step that issue since it turns out that the mind reprogramming will kill 25% of the 100 million people they're going to be targeting.

I thought that was such an interesting/frustrating dilemma. My sister and I had to pause and have a whole hypothetical conversation. I'm assuming that the brain's that would fight the reprogramming would be the ones who don't believe in universal healthcare, global warming, etc. And I honestly, would be torn about what to do, but I wouldn't be able to condemn 25% to death.

Or it could be that those who resist the programming are just people who are strong willed? Or it could be random chance. I don't think that the ISA knows. Or cares. lol.

Oh I took it in the sense that you don't have to reprogram someone who already believes in all those things. But that makes sense that even people who think that way would essentially be programmed to stop thinking for themselves completely.

I kinda wanna know what they would have done if there were no side effects

I haven’t watched this yet cuz I was waiting for it to be over, but my most pressing question is if there’s anything gay in it lol that’s my main prerequisite for shows now.
