Why can’t we Latinx have a piece of the pie? We are the largest ethnic group in America and missing as if we didn’t exist! https://t.co/8xV6dJnvSM pic.twitter.com/ilDZqRLAEB

*sigh* I read this thread on LSA yesterday about Dascha'a tweet.

I'm tired. Between that thread and how I know how racist ass ONTD will reply I'm just tired.

Aida spoke it perfectly. While white people feast at the top they watch marginalized groups battle for what they should already rightfully have.

I've been saying this shit for years. They will continue to sit at the top too. We're too busy fighting. Dark skin black people wanna fight about if light skin means black, or black enough, while light skins wanna act obvious to colorism. Latinas wanna act as though afro Latina isn't a thing and the same with Mexicans. We could do SO much if we'd stop fighting and stop yelling "what about us" When someone of color achieves something. It's so tiring.

I don't know if he just didn't word his thoughts well but not only does he ignore Afro-Latinos but it also shines the light in the wrong place. Black people do not have the majority vote in any of these institutions, white people do. White people also control which shows go on the air and cause the representation problem.

There is a way to discuss the steps that still need to be taken in order to achieve diversity in media, but this ain't it.

Saw this yesterday after someone I follow got into with Dascha. I thought it was hilarious that she called the person a clout chaser, like girl, you’ve been in one show. And you’re messy as hellllll.

I’m too exhausted to have a larger conversation about this except to say. Leave our Black asses alone. Like, you don’t need to bring Black people up when you’re working through your own issues.

I saw that thread. It was...a mess. And Dascha was real quiet when people discussed the colorism and erasure of Afro-Latinos.

I am not surprised. She doesn’t want to do better, she just wants to be an asshole

I only vaguely remember her from posts here so I was confused on her importance, to be honest. She had a "I'm here" comment after 10+ people told her she wasn't shit.
