My favorite film podcast lately is Fatal Attractions, and I watched Body of Evidence last night to catch up on the films they've been covering. A stinker, but I really appreciate how much Madonna was trying to be a femme fatale, even though she's obviously bad at it. She's styled like an old school vamp pretty well.

This weekend I'm going to watch Falling Down, All or Nothing (Mike Leigh), and a few films on the Criterion Channel that are expiring. Word is that the Eurovision movie is decent by some critics I like... not a priority for me but I will watch it eventually even though I was against it.

I've never seen Body of Evidence, but I can believe that kind of role wouldn't really suit her. I really liked her in A League of Their Own, though!

Ahhh, I didn't even realize the Eurovision movie was this week! It's hard to get a comprehensive idea of what all is coming out when anymore. I'll have to tack that on next week's post.

Madonna can be a seductress on some level in her videos, but definitely not in this movie and it has to be because of the director. Its so weird but she is way more confident and sexy in her quick few scenes in Girl 6. She's at her best in A League of their Own, for sure. She likes to have fun and the humor is a good fit for her, much like Desperately Seeking Susan.

We're watching The Life of Brian for my film club this week. I also watched The Watermelon Woman recently fort the umpteenth time and that movie never gets old

We rewatched The Grand Budapest Hotel last night... the set design, composition and lighting are all so gorgeous.
