Tbh all PR from the island are somehow told that the US will receive us we open arms because we belong to them🙄, so I’m not surprised.

Yeah. I just replied that our history is super whitewashed and we are basically taught since we are very young that the US “saved” PR. Indoctrination at its worst.

It's not until the recent use of social media that many people from other countries are exposed to US rotten core. We all heard about how it's a land of opportunity etc and all other BS your politicians claim it to be.

But social media really expose the ugly truth of the divided states of America. I can't believe how many of you are against public health. There are so many selfish people over there who only think of themselves, not realising that the health of society affects their own health.

Then there's the gun issue, but let's not go there.......

Must be nice not to participate in our society by insulating yourself with money. 🙄 You're 48 years old and are just now finding out about how shitty our country is???

not just money, but celebrity too. i imagine all of his trips to mainland usa since he was a teen in menudo have all involved being pampered and fawned over so that probably shielded him from a lot of experiences a normal puerto rican or other latino would have.

if he had been plain ass enrique morales moving to new jersey or whatever he would be very aware of how racist people in the states are

Indoctrination is very real. Our history books are basically an ode to the USA. It’s infuriating.

Also adding that he never imagined the USA to be this way and that he and his family try to watch TV news as little as possible, acknowledging he’s not as exposed since he lives secluded with his family in their house.

He is too old for this argument.
