It's understandable but this bums me out. I'm not big on the rebuild movies themselves but this would've been my first piece of evangelion content to actually look forward too since I watched the series for the first time a few years ago.

I bought the dvds for this series a few months ago since I wasn't here for the netflix version but still haven't done my rewatch yet, I feel like I need to be in the right mood to watch again when the world isn't going to shit.

I got it off of eBay! But just as a warning it is pretty expensive to get nowadays, end of evangelion is a lot cheaper though.

I feel ya because recently watching this for the first time ever given current events was maybe not the best choice for me, lol. I need to watch something happy now.

I rewatched Evangelion last year when it came on Netflix and it held up pretty well, I hadn't watched in 10 years and couldn't remember all details.

I've felt like rewatching my childhood animes, especially Shaman King. Maybe next week, we'll see.

I agree they were awful. They undid all the character development they built on the first two over new aesthetics.
