I uh, hard disagree lol. The kink community is full of fucked up people and predators. Very often the stuff about consent is pure lip service. We've seen what the sex positive movement turned into.

Mte. We saw this when Fifty Shades of Grey was released. Many people were like "real BDSM is never practiced unsafely, so if somebody is abusive, it's not real BDSM", which is quite a logical fallacy.

Yes. Exactly. There are some horrific things being done to people who have been taken advantage of, even with ~consent to do them.

Mte & we’re supposed to accept anything under the guise of kink that we’d otherwise rightfully be disturbed by.

Idk much about the kink community, but I agree with her about communication and consent. Couples need to be able to talk to each other and work through things in a healthy way.

This. This so much. This is part of the reason I consider myself so lucky to have my boyfriend. He was the one who initiated the consent etc convo. He is so respectful and kind. He is SO into communication.

Exactly this. My rule has always been that if you can't TALK to someone about sex, you shouldn't be HAVING it lol. It'll just end up an unsatisfying confusing mess, if people want to act shy about it yet jump out of their clothes and wiggle their bits around with little to no thought behind it
