OP your commentary 😭 you right tho. I'm one of the few folks that didn't like Inside Out, and this is so similar. But maybe seeing in theaters will convince Pixar to make a film about a Black person who stays the whole way through the movie (lol no)

Not Disney, but a similar thing happened recently with that Spies in Disguise movie where Will Smith gets turned into a pigeon.

Technically, that is sort of disney now. And I'm counting it bc otherwise they would have gone an entire decade without a black animated protagonist in the 2010s!

there's a sweet looking movie about a black man with all around fantastic character/setting designs... stuck inside a movie about blue blobs in one of the most boringly designed afterlifes i've ever seen
