Canada has been providing RCMP security to Harry and Meghan since October, Public Safety Canada says, but will stop after March. https://t.co/6Sejgtyv5o @EvanDyerCBC

- Canadian Government confirms it has been paying for H&M's security while in the country since November,

- they did it at the request of the Metropolitan Police,

- the arrangement will end on March 31 (H&M leaving the firm),

- Met Police and the Home Office will (most probably) pay the whole bill now.

Recent polls in Canada have found that only 1 in 5 Canadians believe their taxpayer funds should pay for the coupleโ€™s security arrangements - ๐Ÿ‘ good news for Canada ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ
๐Ÿ‘Ž bad news for the UK ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง who will now have to foot the entire bill

The Global News (the source referenced in the Mirror article above) says, โ€œAt the request of the Metropolitan Police, the RCMP has been providing assistance to the Met since the arrival of the Duke and Duchess to Canada intermittently since October 2019.โ€ ๐Ÿค” October???
