They're both in individual therapy and couple's therapy, and it seems like they have been since the first cheating scandal happened 3 or so years ago.

Are therapists allowed to suggest divorce?

I don't think they're really allowed to tell you what you should do unless there's danger involved. If you don't want to get a divorce then pushing it wouldn't help.
