it was okay, i wasn't really a fan but i can see why people liked it. it really doesn't have anything to do with the original chucky movies and they go in such a different direction it's really chucky in name only.

Stephen King was a big fan of the film, as was I. It was funny, gruesome and didn't offend the original storyline; no more than a timely re-imagining of Mancini's story.

At 85 minutes, it's worth a look.

cool that mancini's heading this one. the middle chuckie movies ('bride' and 'seed') were kind of blah but they were really invigorated with the curse of chuckie, and 'cult' continued that positive trajectory. so, i've got faith in this series

The original film was more depressing than scary. It was just a struggling, single mom trying to do something nice for her kid and having it all go to Hell and the kid getting taken away. The '90s revival was so trashy and funny. I haven't seen any of the other movies except Seed of Chucky and that was mostly terrible.

I also love Jennifer's total embrace of these films. She's always posing her Tiffany doll in designer clothes on her Insta. She seems so fun!
