Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins sat down with ET to talk about Wonder Woman 1984. When asked about her daughters, Gal Gadot responded with a lovely statement:

"I gotta tell you, it is not just for the girls. It is for the girls, but we can't reach the place where we're gonna stop talking about female/men, woman empowerment, feminism, and all that ( Read more... )

I agree with her as well. I also prefer how she put this over something like "He for She" becauses she uses the words "educate boys and the men."

Raising a son is so scary because I want to make sure he’s never a disrespectful shit to girls and woman. Like... I have such a fear of him growing up to be a mess that I try my hardest to make sure he doesn’t

Ughh... I hate that because you know he learned it from somewhere meaning other people doing it. That needs to be changed ASAP.

My son’s not even 1 yet but when I pick him up from daycare and they told me he was chasing girls to kiss them I made sure to tell him “no no. No means no.” although the teachers thought it was cute.

I watch a 4 year old boy and it's honestly scary how young toxic male behavior starts. The one good thing is that he plays with 'girl' toys and likes girl superheros and princesses just as much as cars and 'boy' toys.

Ugh, I was at a NY event today at my local temple and there were these adults talking about how this 1½-year-old TODDLER was getting so much attention from girls because he played with girls and boys alike. It's so creepy and insidious if you don't tell people to stop/do not combat that behavior at home. That shit will stick with the kid otherwise.

My nephew is 5 and when he wants me to play with him I try to tell him that my job is construction (I'm a structural engineer). He always thinks I'm lying because I guess GIRLS can't possibly be around bulldozers or construct things.

I had to tell 2 little girls that space and dinosaurs weren't "boy things."

I loved space, geography, ghostbusters, cars, history, video games, playing sports, dinos and the deep sea when I was a kid. No one EVER made me feel like they weren't for me. Who the fuck is telling these kids that X is for boys and Y is for girls?!

I still cry/get emotional at the first movie's 'no mans land' scene. the whole lead up to her going up that ladder in the WW outfit, seeing the injured soldiers and people and the woman begging for help is just perfect. so now I'm wondering if I'm gonna be bawling at certain stuff in this movie if gal said she cried at the beginning of it.

True. I'm so disgusted tho. I was reading an article about how a wife had posted she was jealous of her 3 year old daughter and in the comments someone had posted that girls learn to be manipulative at a young age and had like a 100 upvotes. It was written by a man. And made me root for global warming to kill all men.

Seems like a lot of men on the internet think all women are manipulative and our only goal is to milk them for everything they have. Men and their forever victim complexes.

sadly very true judging by what i’ve seen on reddit. the amount of vitriol men have for women on there is so repulsive
