I'm sorry but this is a bullshit reason. There are legit SO many white/non black/white passing female pop stars with zero personality and basic songs slaying charts. Like is Halsey really pulling people in with her personality? Dua? Camilla?
And their people made smart decisions to collab with other artists on their catchy no substance songs.
I mean tinashe collabed with Britney..on that one song no one was checking for...
But Tinashe's artistic pride is what's hurting her. She better sell out with a catchy pop song and then when she has clout and some pennies, she can put out more of the type of sings she wants.
i'm so glad she parted ways from rca but also sad bc songsforyou is fucking incredible and it deserves ALL of the hype and push and support it can get.
nn it amuses me that she's aware of being "american twigs". i'd much rather see them do choreo together than make an actual song tbh. i also really want tinashe to collab with zayn.
