When Apple TV Plus agreed to pay Jennifer Aniston & Reese Witherspoon more than $1 million per episode to star in #TheMorningShow, the service didn’t just enter the streaming wars with a bang - it blew up the template for how much stars were paid https://t.co/Z1BKh4UWCB pic.twitter.com/4Uy9iCedLL

The majority of big names is boring, though. I can't phantom just following an actor around through EVERYTHING they do and I'm sure that trend has slowly been winding down, hasn't it? There's less box office draws, no matter how hard Hollywood tries to find their next IT-Girl/Boy.

Honestly, I'd be more interested in a project that says 'Actors fresh from school, young talent!' than 'SEVEN HOUSEHOLD NAMES IN HERE'.

Yeah. The "this new Netflix/HULU/Amazon/whatever show with these A-list actors" had some appeal at first but it lost it quickly a long time ago.
Most of Netflix's best shows were with unknowns and low key celebrities. Black Mirror became trash this season when they brought Marvel and Disney stars. They really don't need household names. We don't care about Harrison Ford and Jenifer Aniston. But Hollywood is always out of touch and has to fix what isn't broken, oh well...

I hate rich people.

Chris Pratt is allegedly shopping a project that would pay him $1.4 million an episode.

I wish I had this much self-worth.

Chris is also an exec producer on his show, I don't know if Jason is on his series or not. So Chris's additional salary might reflect that.

That makes sense if it does reflect that. I wonder how much Michelle is getting paid for the series.

all that means is that everyone else around them is making more money too so I'm not mad that the actual stars are getting a proportionate cut.

Huh? What makes you think the crew is making anything more in comparison?
