I have always enjoyed Adam Sandler in his more serious roles so I might check out uncut gems.

I cannot think of two movies with more different energy than Uncut Gems and A Hidden Life. One is a frenetic, breakneck, anxiety-riddled fever dream, where the other has multiple lengthy shots of people using scythes for farming purposes. And I liked that one more, lol.

Haven't watched much of anything this week other than I Lost My Body, which I wasn't into at all. Gonna go see Jumanji 2 tomorrow.

Seeing Uncut Gems tonight, A Hidden Life probably next week. idk why I'm still bothering to give Terry chances, esp. Terry without Lubezki, but oh well, I have a lotta time off from work this month. Waiting to see Bombshell with family when I go home for Xmas. I'm interested, but the more I think about it, the more annoyed I am that it's male directors & writers.

Where the hell is John F. Donovan actually coming out??? I can't seem to find it -- but I'm still pressed he cut Jessica, so I'm glad it's getting bad reviews, lmao. Definitely think I can wait till Seberg is on streaming or whatever.

Yeah, I decided that Bombshell can join Joker and Richard Jewell on my list of movies I'm not paying to see even with A-List. I'll wait for a screener or something.

John F. Donovan is playing at one theater, the Arena Cinelounge Hollywood. It's a very small theater. A film of this caliber playing there is, frankly, embarrassing and probably only so it qualifies.

It's a terrible movie. I saw the premiere at TIFF and it's a huge turd.

Yeah, the Arena Cinelounge is definitely a niche theater. Surprised they couldn't wrangle up a Laemmle.

Rabid looks fun. I love Canadian horror movies.

Code 8 seems kinda cool too but I can't stand Stephen Amell's face or voice so it's gonna be a no from me.
