Agreed, I expected folksy bc of Lover and it honestly would've fit the theme better than... what she did.

It was a cute video and her voice sounded pretty good in the beginning.

I feel like musically she was trying to get it to sound similar to mariah Carey’s all I want for Christmas cause I really felt in the beginning.

I hear Phil Spector influence which is what inspired AIWFC. That's why it sounds a bit Beatlesish also, bc he produced their Let It Be album. Basically the bombastic quintessential Christmas sound we're accustomed to.

Definitely. It bothered me that she sang "everyTHIN," rather than everything. Something like that will annoy me every time I hear it, so I won't be hearing it much.

It also sounds like she made a list of everything associated with Christmas and then tried to cram it all in. Not her best effort.
