this stood out as a big question mark to me in the documentary because it was so clearly illegal and there was obviously fraudulent paperwork and I couldn’t understand how there were no consequences at the time, even given he supposedly paid off the haughtons.

so I’m glad something is clearly being looked at again.

it feels like aaliyah truly had nobody looking out for her and it makes me so sad.
