honestly i'm loving the possibility of these left-field nominees. about time we got some new blood in there, and them being longtime a-listers is quite something

I was against Jlo at first but then I saw Hustlers. She won’t win, but as you said, it’ll be fun to see some left field noms.

Shia talking about what he learned in the mental institution was the best part of this for me. He says he gained empathy for his dad, and gaining empathy for the "villain of your life helps scrape away the shadows, and makes you lighter". He also said it changed his whole life because accessing that empathy allowed him to access all his other emotions because up until then he'd only felt anger and bitterness.

I really connected with Honey Boy, and everything he's been saying in interviews has really gotten me too. He truly seems to be healing and I'm happy for him.

i really enjoyed honey boy, i grew up adoring shia labeouf in even stevens, holes, transformers - i literally grew up with him and watching honey boy was heartbreaking but also so enlightening. i am so happy that he came out of such a dark spell in his life with something creative and came out the other side of the tunnel. really proud of him, and alma for bringing it to the screen so well
