They had a job opening a few months back that I thought of applying for but didn’t think I would get, I’m glad I didn’t bother after hearing this news

I always saw job listings for them on LinkedIn and had no idea what they did or what kind of company it was, so I never bothered applying. No wonder they always had job openings, they're a mess omg

Yes! They were constantly hiring, which I didn’t realize until after I skipped the job. It always makes me wonder wtf is going on if there’s high turnover like that

There wasn’t turnover besides in upper management, they were just growing super fast and needed more heads (but still not turning any profits lol) so they were hiring a ton of people. Just to lay them off smh

It’s just a fancy coworking space. Charging people 500+ a month to sit at a desk and “network.”

Imagine paying to sit in a Starbucks beyond just a drink.

wework is a real estate business pretending to be a tech company. they rent/lease office space. my current job and previous job both had wework leased office locations. in the very very beginning they were mainly about coworking spaces.

I just don’t get how people get swindled by showmanship and buzzwords to likes of Steve Jobs wannabe with blood (name eluding me) and Adam Neuman. What happened to due diligence, let alone common sense? Bloodgate, one google search told me why it would be impossible to do what Theranos was claiming. Wework is real estate, plain and simple. It is literally leasing out buildings/office space.

I think this/my generation is more susceptible to the showmanship because of how so much the people we are told to look up to don’t actually make anything.

Like i still don’t get the appeal of Pewdie pie.

maybe it's like an emperor's new clothes situation. they hear pitches with all these millenial buzzwords and instead of realizing that they're meaningless, they think it's a good sign that they don't get it, because it must be very modern and hip

That is so awesome!
Had you ever traded before? I have it but haven’t bit the bullet yet. You’re inspiring me but I doubt I’d do what you did.
