"In 2011, Emilia suffered an unlikely brain hemorrhage that caused her to lose her ability to process or express speech. Her long road to recovery included three surgeries and lots of rehabilitation."

Is her recovery common, or more likely due to access to A+ healthcare

brain hemorrhaging and aneurysms are a huge fear of mine tbh

her recovery, she said, was a mixture of being able to get to the hospital on time and having good access to quality care. Like she went to the hospital immediately and they said if it had been a minute later they probably wouldn't have been able to save her.

? She would still get the same initial care/treatment in the US ie the surgeries. The bill after would def be different though, and people in the US will probably struggle more with affording neuro-rehab.

I listened to her on Dax Shepard's podcast the other day and came away with a few things:

-wow Dax Shepard is annoying and borderline creepy
-Emilia is an angel
-D&D should be incredibly grateful that Emilia herself was able to come up with a logical reason for Daenerys to turn, not that Dany turning was a great idea even with her explanation, but she clearly went to a lot of effort to understand her headspace when the script gave her FUCKING NOTHING to work with. She is a much better actress than she gets credit for and I firmly believe any time she felt stilted in earlier seasons were growing pains and she was also given direction to be more "stoic" that she didn't understand at the time because no one bothered to tell her where her character would end up. I STILL would have hated turning her bad but if she had known for years what was to happen she probably would have played it differently and UGH

HBO does sequel moves all the time, right? FIX THE ENDING OF THIS SHOW.

I hate Dax. He and Kristen Bell are perfect for each other. Insufferable, gentrifying assholes.

I can't even imagine how terrifying this would be. Recovering from a very painful wisdom tooth removal was horrible enough. Anything that feels like my body is at risk of permanent damage is just....wooo.

She's a brave and beautiful person. Fuck D&D for turning Dany's story to shit. Emilia really loved that character.
