I don’t know who this guy is so I looked him up on IMDB and now I want to know how he went from writing and directing a handful of shorts to directing Deadpool. His career trajectory seems weird.

and Jon Peters was Barbra Striesand's hairdresser. To quote Kevin Smith, if you are white and male in hollywood you fail up.

mostly they picked him I think because it was an excuse if it failed. they could always blame the director.

One of those shorts was nominated for an Academy Award.

If you look at a lot of the directors being given major comic book movies to direct they dont have much experience.

I HATE Ryan "plantation wedding" Reynolds so much. And hate Deadpool for making him relevant.

SAME! He had a decade of totally failing at everything he touched and we were soooo close to finally being rid of him and then fucking Deadpool happened. Hate him, hate that he's Canadian, hate his wife Plantation Blake.

Me too and now we're subjected to his lame cynicism and boring movies

Cameron has a long list of actors who are so traumatized they won't work with him again, and the crews hate him. the hate from the crews is legendary. (ie the t-shirts)

Considering the difference in quality between Deadpool 1 and 2, I'm on Tim's side. The first was fun, the second is just so fucking stupid. The idea that if only the loser kid had some friends they'd not grow up to be a terrorist just annoyed the crap out of me. Domino what little they let her do, and Rob Delaney were the best parts of DP2.

I know Kate voiced discontent from working with on Titanic but has Zoe said anything?

kate has no standards when it comes to who she'll work with. she's still defending woody allen ffs. Zoe i think, and i can't really blame her in a way because Cameron is known to be a fucking asshole but not sexually abusive from what i've heard. yeah the weight comments towards kate were nagl. i'm not defending him, just saying he's a different breed of asshole than some we think of in hollywood. but zoe is a businesswoman. if the contracts weren't already in place for avatar 2 and 3 when she did the first one, well, what actress is going to turn down a chance to return to a sequel to the second most profitable film of all time? if nothing else, it ups your bid. and she's over 40 now which while not old by any stretch, it's hollywood.

Zoe can say she's been in the two highest grossing films of all time. you don't have to like her as an actress, i don't, but when it ain't digging ditches, idk why someone would walk away from the claim that they were in films that delivered the butts to the seats.

So, he doesn't like being told what to do. lol Either way, working with Cameron or Reynolds sounds like a nightmare.

I’ll be forever disappointed that we didn’t get his version of Deadpool 2. The second movie wasn’t bad, but it was disappointing compared to the first one IMO.

Agreed. I didn't enjoy DP2 nearly as much as the first.
