Justin's was a big surprise - according to TMZ, he filed without a lawyer? PEOPLE says they broke up because she was ready to have kids and he wanted them too but not yet because of where his career was going. Seems like this came out of the blue, though.

As for Brett's - he hadn't posted about her on Instagram for months, which set off alarm bells, but thought I was being paranoid and ignored it until he showed up to multiple events without his ring a few weeks ago. Seems to be amicable, though - they're still following each other and they did spend Halloween together with Sylvia in matching costumes. Still upsetting, though, because he and Melissa were really cute together and she seemed amazing. Not sure he can do better than her.
