I guess I accidentally fast cause I try not to eat after 9pm and then I usually don't eat the next day until lunch around noon or 1pm. I have coffee and milk though lol

I'm 16-18/8-6. I rarely eat breakfast and most mornings I don't end up being hungry until lunch time (if I do feel hungry, I have protein bars/nuts etc in my purse to eat).

I don't think IF is inherently bad or good, just as long as when you feel hungry, you eat.

I only eat three times a day plus snacks, which is what, about two hours? So I'm fasting 22 hours a day so I beat them

That’s not what intermittent fasting is. Basically, you’re picking a window of time (usually 6 or 8 hours) where you’re eating; the rest of the time you’re eating nothing. So I eat all my food from 2 pm to 8 pm. It works for many people who have insulin resistance issues but it certainly doesn’t work for everyone.

as someone who has been in ED recovery for a over a decade, people who do IF (and a lot of these fad diets tbh) say the same type of shit that was similar to what I would hear people in treatment say, just like less blatantly disordered. they talk about how fasting makes them more clear headed or they feel a “rush”, literally saying it makes them feel more in control. wow I’ve definitely never heard anyone with an ED say those exact same things lol

you can call me reductive but I’ve watched a lot of people start out on these diets, their entire life ends up revolving around food to the point that it interferes with their social life. yeah, definitely not familiar behavior.

same bb. i'm right there with you and what i say in most of these posts.

it's so easy to slide it into an ED and so much of what's said is the same.

Same. I try not to do that to myself again yet all these celebs brag about it :X

sure, I agree that a lot of people use these diets as a cover for their EDs. But if they truly are getting their daily caloric needs in a shorter amount of time rather than stretched out across the day and it's not interfering with their everyday lives, I don't really think it's a problem ( ... )

That's an odd way to say you do intermittent fasting.
