Good idea, because @taylorswift fans with hand painted pastel colored signs are dangerous. 🤣https://t.co/lfNSAHp5s6

But if they honestly viewed the threats as serious enough to close the offices, I would think that would warrant reporting it to police.

I agree.

I do agree with this commenter's point though -- there is a larger discussion here about being careful with the wording and implications. One does NOT have to report an incident to the police for it to be legitimate. But in this case - I absolutely believe Big Machine also used this as a PR strategy in the battle w/ Taylor. Their credibility has been shot to hell considering they've been caught lying several times now.

not necessarily, for many people getting the police involved just adds more danger to the situation

Yeah, this is crap. Just because they didn't report the death threats to the Nashville police, it didn't happen? Yeah, let's start playing that game with all other crimes, shall we? And that stupid comment about Taylor's fans hand-painting pastel signs actually invalidates the fact that Taylor herself has faced death threats from stalkers who are obsessed with her. Not all of her fans are cute 14 year old girls with ribbons in their hair. This whole thing is kind of messy and gross.

from TMZ

BTW, our sources tell us these aren't just loud-mouthed kids coming at the Big Machine crew -- adults are also chiming in and making threats on their lives ... clearly it's serious.

Yeah, the way people here will bend over backward to get a shot at insulting Taylor is...over the top. I don’t particularly like her either, but chill out!

lol all I had to do was search twitter for "kill scooter" and these popped up. It's crazy that people are doubting they are getting death threats. Just because they aren't getting 1000 RTs doesn't mean they don't have impacts on their safety
