oven poor. omgosh

We were extremely oven poor a few years ago. It must have been during the recession. My parents oven/died broke but we didn't have money to get a new one. So we got a toaster oven and used that. We cooked a turkey on the grill.

Real talk though, I discovered the spatchcock method for cooking a Thanksgiving turkey last year when I hosted my family & it is a game changer. 12 lb bird cooked perfect in under an hour & a half.
