I just...really do not like her acting. I was interested in this but doubt I'll bother after that.

As soon as she opens her mouth she's just the same flat, monotone she always is. She didn't even try to sound like Seberg. What a half-assed performance. Some of the reviews have pointed out that they have her in a bra or flimsy outfits but it doesn't matter, she lacks the sizzle Seberg effortlessly possessed.

Rotten Tomatoes score, 42. Super bomb. Her being mentioned for Oscar consideration is an insult to the real actresses who made good films this year. I'm side-eyeing Variety for having her as part of their Actors on Actors series. Cheapens the whole thing.

It's a real mystery as to how or why she gets cast in anything. Even her films that have good reviews aren't a result of her acting. They're dependent on the script and direction. People love Personal Shopper but anyone could have played that part and made it more interesting. She brings nothing special to the role--no accent, no voice work, no graceful way of moving (she clomps around Paris exactly the way she clomps around Los Feliz). It's a well-written mystery, it's not because she's a great actress ( ... )
