It’s old hat to complain about how early Christmas starts every year but this year seems especially ludicrous. Usually malls/stores save their Christmas decs until Thanksgiving but all of them were lit up fucking last week. That, plus early Black Friday sales are just wild to me. Capitalism!

Because Canadian Thanksgiving is in October, places feel free to go crazy with Christmas stuff so early. As soon as Halloween is over you see places start to decorate. It ends up being two months of Christmas.

It’s cuz thanksgiving is so late this year. It gives Xmas less than a month and that’s not enough prep time. At least for me. I don’t even love Christmas but I need time to shop.
