Ten Thousand Doors of January was so cool! i wonder if there's going to be a sequel, January is such a great character and the potential is basically limitless...
The Innocents sounds good. Right now I'm reading Big Sister, Little Sister, Red Sister by Jung Chang. Just finished Red River Girl by Joanna Jolly about the death of 15 year old Tina Fontaine, a First Nation teenager that died in 2014. She mentions murders and disappearances of other First Nation women in Canada.
I’m still reading Bad Blood by John Carreyrou. I have no shame in admitting I love romance novels so I’m really excited to read the The Rebel King by Kennedy Ryan. I also have Little Fires Everywhere and Where The Crawdads Sing sitting on my dresser.
i have the innocents in my wishlist because pretty cover, but i almost never read men, so imma wait 'til i hear more about it.
rn i'm reading at the existentialist café and hopefully will read in cold blood before the year is done, since it's so many people's favourite nonfiction book, and maybe hourglass by dani shapiro if i read fast enough 🌝..
I'm now halfway through Crier's War and it's so fun. Medieval automatons vs humans. An automaton princess and a servant girl planted to start a revolution AND THEY'RE GOING TO FALL IN LOVE.
