Well everything about the games look like shit so that's not my fault. I'm glad I found out before I spent $60 on this games because I'd be even more pissed.

I stopped looking at the leaks that have been coming out recently, but none of the starters' final evolutions are doing it for me. [Spoiler (click to open)]I'm tempted to make the Guy Fawkes fox my starter at this point

I'm still going to buy and play, but I'm a bit bummed about the choice to not have the whole National Dex there. It was such an easy way to get more post-game playability out of it. (Not that I was completionist).

That Game Freak logo looks like a sad dick.

It honestly sucks that I don't like ANY of the final evos. I'm sticking with Sobble because at least I like its first evos but this is the worst generation of starters for me tied with Unova. And the rest of the Dex is pretty meh for me too but those starters are something else.

I know it sucks for people who want to transfer their pokemon, but I prefer it this way cuz it forces me to actually use the new generation. I love finding a new fave pokemon

It's good for the first playthrough, but my replay fun with Pokemon games has always been on variety in team building. I had an awesome time recently playing through Kalos with only grass starters for example. That variety and freedom is instantly lost. With the absolute bare bones post-game, I'll play these games once and then they'll gather dust.
Whoever thought this was a good idea at Gamefreak doesn't understand why people play these games. It certainly isn't for their nuanced storytelling.

That's a really good point, that sounds like w fun way to play. I feel bad if I choose to use a different pokemon instead of my faves, so I really do need to b controlled lol

I think Pokemon Black and White handled this the best. You could only catch new Pokemon until you beat the game.
