Celebs React to the Getty Fire

Oct 28, 2019 08:01

This video shocked me this morning. Taken just a few hours ago on a route I drive often. The 405 near Getty. So scary. Blessings and safety to all those touched in any way by the fires in my beloved home state of California. Stay safe, folks. Be prepared and take precautions. https://t.co/HxPYU7yyPw

It’s wild that they didn’t shut down the 405 through the Sepulveda pass. My sister sent me a bunch of pics on her morning commute and the fire was RIGHT THERE by the freeway.

That's crazy to me, too. I'd think people's tires would start melting from the heat.

I've been in contact with several friends and family members who've had to evacuate. It fucking sucks. Disasters like this will continue to get worse everywhere unless we actively try to offset the role we've played in climate change.

All of California is burning, without power, or both :(

I mean... that isn't true by any means, but I can see how you'd think that.

I was speaking out of anger and frustration when I said ALL but too much of the state is on fire, at a risk for being on fire, or without power. It's terrifying.

not ALL of CA, but yeah a good portion of the state. it's so terrifying and frustrating (because at least the kincaid fires started because of PG&E)

What a great way to start my week, although fortunately the smoke wasn’t too bad at my house this morning. The wind is supposed to calm down this afternoon so hopefully they can get it under control. The evacuation area is huge.
