I ♥ Naomie, but idk about Black and Blue. I kind of have to assume it eventually has a Not All Cops message, which...

I saw The Lighthouse last night. I liked the cinematography but the narrative was not for me.

I don’t know if I’m gonna see the new wide releases any time soon. I have tix to see Jojo Rabbit and Parasite tommorow and I wanna see Pain & Glory on Sunday, which will fill up my A-List slots. I don’t think I’m missing much though.

You should see it. It's definitely worth seeing even if you come out not liking the film.

Went to see The Lighthouse last night. I liked it, for the most part, but It's definitely not gonna be for everyone. Atmospheric as hell with enveloping sound design (reminded me of the end of Annihilation in that respect), but a bit slower, longer, and more repetitive than I would have liked.

I loved the usage of that aspect ratio + black and white for this story, and the cinematography was breathtakingly gorgeous at several points. Willem Dafoe's performance.... chef's kiss. He was perfect. [Spoiler (click to open)]I wish there was a little more to it, tbh, but it's clearly not that kind of movie. I mean I got the Greek mythology references and everything, and spent quite a while last night reading other interesting viewer theories, but overall it's not very complex.

Little Women had yet another press/guild screening last night, this time at my Arclight, which feels like a personal attack. And apparently all of the screenings have been packed so far.
