While i like the idea of not having to deal with other players in the game, i don't need to pay a subscription to do so. I don't HAVE to interact with them as the game is now. And those other extras aren't worth it.

The battle royale mode was a fun addition, and I'm looking forward to the (now delayed) NPCs coming next year tho.

I wanted to love this game so much. I initially thought I would be content with just roaming around reading terminal entries and hearing audio logs for the lore, but it got old quickly.
Ready for some NPCs to interact with.

I wanna play Outer Worlds, but i'm gonna hold out for the Switch version, because thats collecting more dust than my PS4 atm, so i'd love a game like this to use it more.

Anyho, Fallout 4 is still one of my fav games of all time!
Danse/Maxson.

It really was a great disappointment to learn you couldn't romance Maxson in the game.

Yeah. Prior to getting there, i thought Maxson and Danse were both going to be people who could be companions, but alas, no.
My head canon alters his villain-nature a bit.

ALSO, its crazy that Deacon wasn't romancable. This whole relationship we built up, and no romance options when it came to it

Who gives a shit, Outer Worlds is out in less than 48 hours. Between that and Disco Elysium, nobody needs Fallout for anything anymore.

i still love the franchise.
The next story-based game for, presumably, the next console era will be a return to form! But it's prolly 4 to 8 years out from that happening.

The fan-made Fallout: Miami for PC mod looks great

But the franchise don't love you back, sis - there's no return coming because this is the form as long as Bethesda owns it.

I don't believe they are abandoning single player format at all tho. That's their bread and butter.

This game was always meant to be a side game. Basically to hold over until the next 5th-proper game comes.

But seeing as how I dont care for the Elder Scrolls games (not into the adventure whimsical themes and dragons and whatnot), I gotta wait a while until a proper entry comes along on ps5.

HOWEVER, i would be perfectly happy for a Fallout 3/new vegas/4 port for Switch.
I would play 4 all over again if i can do it on handheld Switch tbh.

For context, this subscription is more expensive than the Xbox Games Pass, which has a fantastic catalogue of games (Including The Outer Worlds, aka Fallout New Vegas in Space, aka the best Fallout games)

Even EA access is better value than this.
