i thought it was pretty obvious "Maleficient 2" would underperform. there was no buzz and no one asked for a sequel. then again, i thought "Aladdin" wouldn't perform as well as it did so what do i know lol.

"Hustlers" was amazing. I loved it.

true. i wasn't expecting it to flop but i was expecting it to somewhat underperform considering the reactions pre-release weren't very good. but it didn't, it was a huge success.

a sequel would definitely not perform as well as the original though imo because what attracts ppl to those disney reboots is that they're stories they already love and know. the alice sequel flopped, maleficient 2 will underperform, etc. an aladin sequel would have the same faith.

Neither did Warner Bros. They thought it was a risky project so they got other studios to invest in the movie. WB only covered 60% of the budget, and now that's it's a megahit, they only get 60% of the profits. Poor them.
