Hijacking this for my Canadian politics news: Obama just endorsed Trudeau

I was proud to work with Justin Trudeau as President. He's a hard-working, effective leader who takes on big issues like climate change. The world needs his progressive leadership now, and I hope our neighbors to the north support him for another term.

I wonder if this will make a difference? I feel like it won't, but Canadians care more about American politics than are own so who knows.

No.

I mean some ridings it is worth it to vote NDP or Green, but the PM will either be Andrew Scheer (conservative) or Trudeau. The conservatives are even ahead right now.

I’ve talked to my Canadian friends about this and unfortunately Trudeau appears to be the least electable evil at the moment (although they like the NDP leader).

Trump had hoped to surprise the parents of dead British teen Harry Dunn with a meeting with the woman who killed him-all in front of the media https://t.co/1zJevtvn3t
- The Daily Beast (@thedailybeast) October 16, 2019

Dunn’s mother, Charlotte Charles, described Trump as “quite respondent” and that he tried to comfort her.

“When he [President Trump] held my hand, I gripped it a lot tighter and I was honest with him and just said, as I said a while ago, ‘If it was your son you would be doing the same as us,’” Charles told the British news media traveling with them. “He actually gripped my hand a little bit tighter and said ‘Yes I would be.’ And that’s when he said he would try and look at this from a different angle.”

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I appreciate Chelsea's calm adult energy vs Abby's nonsense and Meghan's childishness.

its hilarious to me that people seem legit surprised by it. like the man inspired her to run, ofc she was gonna support him.

I’ll say what I love even more is that Rashida is holding back on her endorsement until Bernie visits her district and speaks with the constituents there. That’s some legit integrity I want to see more of

I love it. Some people are losing their shit right now.

I find it fascinating that women of color overlook female and minority candidates to endorse a white guy. Is 'identity politics' over? Is ideology more important than race and gender? Genuinely curious. @BernieSanders @AOC @IlhanMN https://t.co/lewR75paDW
