i don't like drake but his dad lived in USA while he lived in Canada with his mom.. seeing your dad like 2x a year during school holiday break still makes them an absentee father lol

Not really. I know it's not the situation with this specific case, but just because you don't see your kids very often doesn't mean you're an absentee father. When my parents got divorced my mom wanted to move back to where her family was from and my dad was in the military so it's not like he could just follow her. But he was super involved in our lives even from a distance. He called us at least 4-5 times a week. He would help us with homework over skype. He paid for all of our expenses. He and my mother would still talk on the phone to discuss major issues/disciplinary stuff. And the few times a year he could get leave, he would immediately fly out to see us. Even if it was just for a long weekend.

i think thats different though as it seems he was very involved despite not physically being there. i feel like now its easier for parents who are separated and living in different areas, or dads who might work away for whatever reason, because technology has progressed so much with skype/facetime etc. in the 90s it was harder cos internet kind of sucked and you didn't have mobiles to text/whats app when phoning was expensive.

I don't follow Drake much, does he seem to spend any time with his own kid? I mean, he doesn't have to post pics constantly on IG, but does he ever talk about spending time with the toddler now that we know the kids exists?

on that hbo round table show he was a part of he showed lebron and the other guys a photo of his son but made it a point to not show the camera. I think he just doesn’t want to publicize anything related to him.

From what I’ve heard he helped the mom get Canadian citizenship and a job so she can be closer but also doesn’t seem to spend a lot of time with the her or the kid
